Starting from the 1st October, the registration to the Masters World Cup is now open!

Cross-country skiing in Cogne has never been so nice

Waiting forward to enjoy ten days completely dedicated to cross country skiing

In less than 155 days, Cogne will host the Masters athletes coming from all over the world to compete at the Masters World Cup competitions. The countdown has begun and on Tuesday 1st October the registration for this Italian edition of this international event will officially be open.

The alpine village located in the heart of the Gran Paradiso National Park as well as the whole Aosta Valley region will once again be the protagonists of a great sport event: ten days completely dedicated to narrow skis from 5th to 14th March 2020, with a competition program that will be enriched by a large choice of side events. The cultural program will be a way to open to a great number of participants the treasures of the smallest region of Italy.

All athletes can register until the 15th  February 2020 paying attention that every single competitor cannot participate in more than three individual competitions. Information on costs and payment methods is available in the registration area. The registrations can be made online, by accessing the website www.mwc-2020.com which will transfer the interested competitor to the Datasport portal, the company in charge of all the timing.

The website has been completely renovated and has been freshly published online. On the portal, the athletes will also find international regulations, together with the race program and all information on logistics and accommodation.

After the last inspection in July and the World Master Cross-Country Ski Association autumn meeting in Canmore (Canada), the last details have been defined and formalized, as for example the loops, that will unfold on the San’Orso field. The organizing committee will set up a 5-kilometer ‘low’ loop and a ‘high’ one, but also set up a 7.5-kilometer track and another 10-kilometer track.

In the forthcoming weeks the cultural side program will also be available, in order to give the chance to all participants to experience not only sport but also enjoy life strolling around the mountains of the region, a territory of culture, food and wine excellence. The ‘media’ section will soon be available with useful materials for publication as well as the official accreditation form.

More than 800 participants are by now in contact with the booking center, situated at the Tourist Consortium of the Cogne Valley. For each team, accommodation has been provided between the hotels and extra-hotel facilities of Cogne and its villages.

The World Masters Championships are organized by Events in Cogne with the partnership of the Autonomous Region of Valle d’Aosta, the Municipality of Cogne and Cogne Turismo.
