The Organizing Committee and the Region confirm the feasibility of the event

The Organizing Committee Events In Cogne gathered today, Friday 28 February, for a discussion with the political representative of Aosta Valley Region, the Municipality of Cogne and the local Consortium of Tour Operators, to take stock of the situation in view of the cross-country skiing Masters World Cup.

A meeting which is currently necessary, since many sporting events in the rest of Italy had to change their schedule, following the Coronavirus emergency, situation that did not concretely touched Aosta Valley.

The exchange did not reveal any concrete obstacle for the organization of the competition. Aosta Valley will host two women’s alpine skiing World Cup competitions over the weekend and welcomes the guests who have chosen it as a tourist destination with all its regularly open ski areas, restaurants and hotels. Moreover, museums, castles and exhibitions are normally open on the territory. Outdoor activities allow mountain enthusiasts to fully enjoy the panoramas of the Aosta Valley, which are now further embellished by the recent snowfall. The local organizing committee, the community of Cogne and the entire regional government trust in the decision that the competitions scheduled for March 5 to 14 can take place regularly. Now it’s up to the World Master Association to confirm the event.
